Women of Winter is working with AAA and BSafe to provide 8 scholarships for women looking to gain education on avalanche safety while in the backcountry.
Mountain Mind Project mPEAK Scholarship
The Mountain Mind Project Live Online mPEAK (Mindful Performance Enhancement) is an 8- week intensive training program in mindfulness to deepen meditation practice and application. Take advantage of this immersive training opportunity built around peak performance, resilience, focus, and flow.
PSIA-AASI Level 1 Course & Exam Scholarship
Women of Winter and PSIA-AASI are providing 24 scholarships at 4 events for BIPOC women to have a course and exam to help them become a Level 1 ski or snowboard instructor.
PSIA-AASI FS1/CS1Level 1 Certifications
Women of Winter and PSIA-AASI believe that sustained and enduring change requires continued investment. To further this, we’re providing 12 scholarships open to past Women of Winter x PSIA-AASI Level 1 recipients for a FreeStyle Level 1 or Children's Specialist Level 1 Scholarship at Big Sky Resort from March 3-4, 2023! This scholarship is open to past Women of Winter x PSIA-AASI Level 1 recipients who received their Level 1 Alpine or Snowboard certification through the Women of Winter x PSIA-AASI scholarship program in the 20-21 or 21-22 season.
JEDI Outdoors’ Advanced Instructor Training with Deb Armstrong
JEDI Outdoors’ Principal, Humaira Falkenberg, creates a transformative initiative to increase inclusion and leadership of advanced Black, Indigenous, Women of Color (BIWOC) ski instructors in snowsports. The absence of advanced Level 2 or Level 3 Black, Indigenous, Women of Color in PSIA or at local ski areas is evident. This initiative aims to bridge that gap by providing PSIA Certified Level 1 or Level 2 BIWOC women opportunity to train with Olympic Gold Medalist, Deb Armstrong at Taos Ski Valley.
